Of Teacups and Roller Coasters: This week's tarot

I finished my tarot readings for my Facebook page followers for this week and I noticed a pattern almost immediately. This week, we're going on a ride with the suit of cups.

The Suit of Cups represents the element of water. Water represents emotions, intuition, diving deep into our psyches and inner worlds to come up with new lessons and growth. Cups are about displays of emotion, expression of feelings and the role of emotions in relation to others.

The Cups Tarot suit indicates that we are thinking with our hearts rather than our heads, and thus reflect our spontaneous responses and our habitual reactions to situations. Cups are also linked to creativity, romanticism, fantasy and imagination.

You may end up feeling a lot like this over the week:

I have a confession: I tried to reshuffle. I tried to 'trick' the Tarot by switching up the # of cards before a pull.. Tarot would have none of my nonsense. We're going, whether we like it or not, and Tarot's message was that this really shouldn't be a surprise.

We're moving into the moon's Balsamic phase on Monday, and then into Waning Crescent, Dark Moon and New Moon in Gemini episodes, throughout the week. This is all about clearing out, cleaning up, and composing ourselves for our next lunar stage. We'll be a little emotional, as we realize the things we need to clear out may have more sentimental value than we thought. But, that's okay, new shineys are on the way, and if you miss your shot at this, next Sunday will bring you another chance to walk away.

The New Moon in Gemini brings us a little of both its twin sides- Witty and charming, Gemini Moon is fun and pleasant to hang out with. The twin aspect also makes us a bit moody and irritable. Our creativity and intuition will be at a high, along with our sociability and artistic talents.

It all lines up this week, between the Tarot and the Astros. Buckle up, Buttercups. We're in for one wild ride.

  1. Oh, feeling this already! This buttercup has read the entrails and is putting on the armour... and feeling ready for it. I also have chocolate and wine aa back up!

  2. I know you are, Sharon!! That's the way of the witchy warrior!
