Sunday Stirrings: The Magical Week Ahead - October 22-28, 2018

Happy Sunday, Wildlings! For those of you who like to plan ahead, here is your Weekly Magic Guide. Remember, Daily Magic Guides can be found on the Wildly, Witch Facebook page. If you're enjoying those and haven't done so yet, please give the page a like. Thank you!

Starting tomorrow, I've given our Daily Magic Guides a face lift, with Samhain-themed backgrounds, and easier-to-read text. Please don't hesitate to give me feedback when you find something difficult to read. I do these as a community service, and if I'm not serving you properly, I need to know. Thank you to those who have!

Monday, October 22:

Moon Phase: Waxing Gibbous 95%
2:58a: Void ends, Moon in Aries
The Waxing Gibbous Moon is considered the "Moon of Regeneration."
Location: Moon is 135 - 180 degrees ahead of the Sun
Span: Ten and a half to fourteen days after the New Moon. The Moon appears to be more than one-half but not fully illuminated by direct sunlight.
Activities:Tie up your loose ends, and clear out anything that has been hindering you from reaching your goals. It's time to prepare for Wednesday's full moon.

Tuesday, October 23:

(Happy Birthday to my oldest, Nichole, who owns Kiki's Korner Shop. Give her a like on her FB page and wish her Happy Birthday for me, will ya?)

Moon Phase: Waxing Gibbous 98%
7:22am: The Sun enters Scorpio
2:18p Moon goes void for the rest of the day.

While this is technically a waxing gibbous moon, if you look in the sky, you can't really tell the difference. If you're wanting to honor the moon as your ancestors may have, you could consider it a full moon. For more modern folks who like to use the astrological signs, Wait until tomorrow, when the moon moves into Taurus.

Activities: This is either a time for preparation or full moon workings, depending on your choice. Remember, once the moon goes void, you may not get the result you were seeking.

Sun in Scorpio: Sexual matters, power, psychic growth, secrets, and fundamental transformations. Scorpio rules over reproductive organs.

Wednesday, October 24:

Moon Phase: Full, at 12:47pm EDT.
10:33am: Void ends, Moon in Taurus

The full moon is considered, "The Moon of Power," meaning, this is when your connection to moon-workings is at its strongest. This is a time for spells that transform, heal, increase psychic abilities; and spells for fertility, money, home, and dreams. Anything goes at this time.

When the moon is in the sign of Taurus, it's the best time to work magic for love, material acquisition, and money. Taurus likes luxury. If you are trying to do healing work, focus on the throat, neck, and ears, which Taurus rules, according to astrology.

Thursday, October 25:

Moon Phase: Full  99%
In astronomy, this is considered a Waning Gibbous moon, but it's still powerful, and still in the sign of Taurus, so if you missed an opportunity yesterday, you still have plenty of time to get in your full moon workings.

Reminder: We have Neptune, Uranus, and Venus in retrograde (Rx), right now.
Venus stations direct on November 16.
Neptune stations direct on November 24
Uranus stations direct on January 6.

Note: Mercury will go RX from November 18 until December 6.

Friday, October 26:

Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous 96%
10:49am- 3:41pm (EDT) Void of Course (VoC), then moves into Gemini

The Waning Gibbous Moon is "The Moon of Taking Stock." It's time to take a good review of mistakes you've made, take actions to correct them, settle disputes, and make amends. While the waxing moon is about your external, mundane matters; the waning moon asks you to look inward.

The Moon in Gemini deals with communication, a change of residence, writing, public relations, and travel. Gemini rules the shoulders, arms, hands, and lungs. Healing rites for those issues are most powerful at this time.

Saturday, October 27:

Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous 91%

The Moon is still in the sign of Gemini, so take advantage of that today. Saturday's magic is about spirit communication, meditation, banishing, cleansing, and freedom.

This is a great day for cleaning house, both physically and metaphorically.

Sunday, October 28:

Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous, 83%
12:37am-7:27pm, the moon will be void, then moving into the sign of Cancer.

When the moon is in Cancer, it's all about home and domestic life. Cancer rules the chest and stomach. Sunday rules over health, success, ambition, finances, physical strength, and healing.
It's a great day for starting a new health program.
