Card 1: King of Pentacles

Shadowscapes Tarot

Have things stabilized recently? Are you enjoying the first stages of a new commitment that seems to be working out? Are others looking to you as a source of support and encouragement? Have you gotten through a series of tests, exams or obstacles recently and are more established than ever before? When you reach a plateau in life that confirms a feeling of competence and security in your outlook, expect the King of Pentacles to appear in your Tarot reading. This is the card that is the calm leader, the savvy businessperson, the adept engineer, and the steady friend. When it is in your Tarot reading, you mean all those things to the people in your life and have met your stated goals.

Peace and serenity are on their way if they are not already core components of your current existence. The King of Pentacles in this position offers you a unique opportunity to take stock of where you have been and what you want to do with your life.

Card 2: 10 of Swords

Mary-El Tarot

Are you at the point where it cannot get any worse? Are you running on empty? Did you make a big sacrifice and end up with nothing? Is your only power in making self-deprecating remarks? Has someone recently walked all over you? The Ten of Swords is the Tarot's card of bottoming out. But this card is a blessing in disguise, as the darkest hours in which you suffer are about to give way to a new dawn. Indicating that you have reached bottom, there is nowhere to go but up when your Tarot reader draws the Ten of Swords.

In the present position, this card is a confirmation that you are turning a corner and leaving behind one of the worst chapters in your life. Keep a mental image of that golden sky rising. Your world is about to get brighter, as it hardly could ever be any darker than some recent dramas you have encountered.

In general, when the 10 comes up in relation to a question as to whether you can believe what a person is telling you, or trust that a situation is stable, this is a pretty clear answer of "no." However, try to bear in mind that whenever a door closes, another door opens. You are being guided to a situation that is better for you. Trust yourself and trust in the universe.

Card 3: 5 of Swords

Sun and Moon Tarot

When the 5 of Swords appears, you are likely to find yourself with some mixed feelings about life in general. and about a few people in particular. Don't ignore these, but don't feel like you have to speak every word you're thinking and feeling either, as you could ruin the very things that you want the most - such as close, intimate relationships with your friends and/or lover. Think several times before you really let someone have it, even if they deserve it. Choose your battles wisely.

The darker side of this card dominates the present position. Perhaps you have let someone down. A spouse who is pursuing the pleasures of an affair, and neglecting his or her family would see the Five of Swords in this position. A boss who has fired some employees from the company he or she oversees, in order to receive an exorbitant pays raise would see this card arise in this position. Some Tarot Readers may gloss over the dark side and discuss themes of self-assertion and independence, but there will still be confrontation with how you are putting your reputation on the line by self-centered behavior. It's time to look within, determine the accuracy of your reading, and who you want to be going forward.

Card 4: The Sun

Tarot of the Hidden Realm

Have you been feeling revitalized? Have you been the center of attention lately? Are you getting an award soon? Are you making a breakthrough in understanding the patterns of a relationship? Has a recent victory given you reason to be confident? Look towards The Sun's appearance in your Tarot reading as an indicator that everything is going in the right direction for you. When you are feeling at your best emotionally, physically and psychologically, The Sun confirms that it is no illusion – things really are going well!

In the present position you have everything to gain with this card. You can get exactly what you want and are the center of attention in doing so. Little can be lost and consequences are few when you reach out to take what you want. If there are any downsides to The Sun card being in the present position, it is that secrecy is almost impossible. You must operate in a transparent manner. Everyone should be able to see what you are doing in order for your integrity to never be questioned.

Things in general are very likely to be going very well for you. However, even though finances are likely to be in good shape when this card appears, that does not mean that you should lose focus on what is truly important in life, and money is not very high on that list. This is a good time to socialize, to meet new people, and to get out and about. The Sun is about vitality, freedom, joy, and self-expression.
