Tarot Tuesday's Big Reveal for December 25, 2018

It's time for our Tarot Tuesday Big Reveal! If you haven't done so, please go to the Wildly, Witch Facebook Page, and select your card. For those who have, let's get to it!

Our deck today is The Witches Tarot by Ellen Dugan.

"Here, the Hierophant becomes the High Priest, Wheel of Fortune becomes Wheel of the Year, and Judgement becomes Karma.

Based on the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck and filled with images that speak to today's magickal practitioner, witchcraft takes center stage in this stunning deck designed by highly respected Witch and Tarot reader Ellen Dugan. Featuring the vibrant artwork of award-winning artist Mark Evans, Witches Tarot is the perfect combination of Tarot and the Craft.

In addition to card descriptions and meanings, Dugan's companion guide features spell-enhancing spreads―such as the Triple Goddess Spread, the Four Elements Spread, and the Wheel of the Year Spread―that you can use in both Tarot readings and magickal practice."

Card 1: The Wheel of the Year (Wheel of Fortune)

Do things in your life suddenly seem to be moving as if guided by some destiny? Are you at a critical turning point in life or in a relationship? Are you aware that every action taken could result in major changes? Is the sense that you are being swept up in the tide of events and that every movement you make only makes the changes all the more irreversible? Could you ever have predicted the shocking path that recent events have taken?

If you are getting a Tarot reading at a time when the whole world seems up for grabs, the Wheel of Fortune will manage to make an appearance in that very reading. Don't be alarmed, though, for the forces of change represented by this card have at their core the ability to reveal to you your purpose in life.

The Wheel of Fortune in the present is perhaps the most momentous placement of any one card in any position in a Tarot reading. Get ready for fate to smile on you and transform the circumstances of your life into a manifestation of your self-awareness. This is a great card to receive in the present position when you have reached a level of knowing yourself well enough to spot the times you are letting yourself down. If you have been taking responsibility for your actions lately, this card in this position reinforces the power that comes with owning your decisions.

Key words: Good luck, destiny, change, karma, soulmates, decisive moments, cycles of life, fate, fortune, upheaval, chance.

Card 2: The Five of Wands

Are we having fun yet? Don't take it too seriously. Are you obsessed with making the most beautiful sand castle on the beach, knowing that the wave will consume it at high tide? If you still work to make the turrets of your sand castle just perfect, you have mastered the Five of Wands. This is the card that appears to tell you that some things you are involved with are just fun and games – either lighten up and enjoy them or find a way to better integrate them with your life.

In the present position, the Five of Wands means that your life now has many mild dramas and exciting outings, but that they are insubstantial in the long run. Your chances of building a foundation for success will not ever come if you simply remain a pleasure seeker. However, a Tarot reading need not be a lecture. Perhaps you are in the middle of a vacation, or have been working hard for years to enjoy the present. In that case, the Five of Wands in the present position is a validation of all your planning and confirms what you have earned.

Key words: over-focus, intensity, fighting for the sake of fighting, working hard, reaping rewards, needing to integrate.

Card 3: The Six of Cups

Are you feeling a joy for life comparable to the carefree days of childhood? Is your innocence becoming apparent in a relationship? Were you naive in judging a person or situation recently? Did you have a playful emotional attachment to someone that contrasted the serious tone that they took in approaching things?

You may find the Six of Cups in a Tarot reading ,if any of these circumstances sound familiar. This is the card of childhood play, creativity, and a disconnection from the obligations and responsibilities of adulthood. Sometimes, this card is quite a wonderful blessing in a Tarot reading; when so much of life makes demands on you. Other times, though, this card warns you that you may be out of your league in a situation where adult wisdom would do you well.

When it is in the present position, the Six of Cups is a card letting you know that you may be too trusting of an individual. It also may be a card that indicates your genuine affection for someone is the reason you are succeeding. This is a card of enjoying the moment without consideration for the consequences of your actions. Tarot readers at tourist resorts see this card come up seemingly more often than the laws of chance would allow for. People on vacation are inherently at play.

Key words: Children, childhood memories, past influences, yearning, homesickness, nostalgia, reunions, playfulness, youthfulness, innocence, creativity, kindness, goodwill, simplicity, childishness, immaturity, naivete, vacation.

Card 4: The Three of Wands

The Three of Wands represents freedom, adventure, travel, moving abroad and foreign lands. It can indicate hard work paying off, success and being happy with your choices or the outcome of your situation. This card also signifies foresight, forward planning, moving forward, growth and expansion. It is a Minor Arcana card of self-confidence, self-belief, spreading your wings and experiencing life. It tells you that fortune favors the brave. It can also represent holiday romances, and long distance relationships.

The Three of Wands indicates that there are many opportunities available to you to expand your horizons through study, travel, business enterprise and learning. You are becoming more aware of the opportunities that exist for you right now – and there are still further opportunities to come. To take advantage of this potential, you must stay committed to your path and be prepared to stretch outside of your comfort zone, knowing that your best opportunities lie outside of your current environment. It is time to think BIG.

Key words: Travel, moving abroad, foreign land, foresight, forward planning, moving forward, self-confidence, self-belief, freedom, success, happy with choices/outcome, hard work paying off, experiencing life, spreading your wings, adventure, long distance/ travel romance, fortune favors the brave, overseas trade/expansion, growth.
