Tarot Tuesday's Big Reveal for November 19, 2019

It's time for our Big Reveal! If you haven't done so, please go to the Wildly, Witch Facebook Page, and choose your card. For those who have, let's do this!

This week's deck is Tarot of the Hidden Realm by Julia Jeffery and Barbara Moore. It's one of my personal favorite decks.

"Evoke the powerful wisdom of the fae with the Tarot of the Hidden Realm. Instead of relying on esoteric symbols, this powerful deck uses the raw elements―water, air, fire, and earth―to speak directly to your emotions. The beautifully drawn figures follow the Rider Waite style, but express more energy and movement, drawing you in even as you draw their truths out. The companion guidebook reveals techniques and card meanings for beginners and more experienced readers alike."

Please note: I have no affiliation with the creators or producers of any of these tarot decks. I make no money from promoting them.

Card 1: The Nine of Wands

Typically, the Nine of Wands is about hanging in there through a rough time, or hanging on to something that no longer serves us. However, in this deck, the nine of wands goes deeper. Note the excerpt from the book:

"He felt is first in his core. A spark in his solar-plexus began to glow and then burn. The energy radiated through his body. With every movement, his aura crackled and popped. The desire, the need, to create, to do, engulfed him. He welcomed the heat and reveled in the inner burning. Acknowledging his passion, he danced with the energy until he became the energy, until he lost control, and the energy became him and he was lost to it. With a burst of flame, a red heat that glowed white-hot at the center, he was gone."
There is a fiery energy to the 9 of wands. The problem lies in its direction. Once we've tasted the passionate drive of creativity, it can be intoxicating-even addicting.  We want to do more, we do more, we succeed. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat until we begin to break down from exhaustion. We tend to take on more than we can handle, and then burn out. This forces us to ask ourselves, "what do I really want?"

A change of priorities is in order. With Mercury's Rx  lessons so fresh, this could be reflection of clarifying just that. What do you really want? Have you written it down? What steps are you taking to focus your energies in the direction of your best interests?

Taking the time to do this will prove fruitful. What did you take away from this reading?

Card 2: The Page of Pentacles

This card usually portends the laying of a solid foundation or welcome news in the realms of business, career, health, or money. Because this particular deck uses elemental energies, rather than the typical Rider-Waite concepts, let's go deeper. An excerpt:

"Strolling through the field on a sunny afternoon, lost in your own thoughts and not paying attention to the scenery, you happen upon her... Her eyes are clouded, as if softly unfocused. Her feet and hands burrow into the earth as if she is trying to take root... You watch as she moves a hand, finding just the right spot. She freezes, and her breathing changes rhythm ever so slightly. One of the spiraling tattoos on her arm deepens and grows almost imperceptibly... Her body is becoming the alphabet of the earth... a human would never live long enough to learn the deep, slow voice of the earth."

As you can see, this is so much more about connection on a deeper level. This is about someone who wants to be a part of something larger than him/herself. Patient and smart, she realizes that her chosen task will require sacrifices, and may take a very long time, but she sees the big picture. He knows that this is well worth his time. This is something that means everything to them, and they intend to give it their heart, mind, and body.

We close out on Mercury's Rx tomorrow. What lessons have you learned about going deeper, choosing your path, and focusing on what you want/need? Have you written it down? Writing helps us to remember who we are, and to commit to our improvement. What did you take away from this reading?

As always, we discuss our discoveries on the Wildly WitchFacebook page.

If you'd like to book a reading with me, or learn more, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to help you.
