Tarot Tuesday's Big Reveal for January 14, 2020

Greetings! By now, you should have chosen your card on the Wildly, Witch Facebook page. If you haven't done so, please go do that now. If you are new to all of this, Welcome!!

For my regulars, I cannot express strongly enough the importance of you grounding before you choose your card. I'm getting all kinds of messages and posts that show me some of you aren't doing that, or not taking enough time to ensure you're grounded first. If your energy is all over the place, you aren't grounded.

Another thing I'm noticing is that folks are using this as a free tarot card reading from me. That's not how this works. This is an exercise in honing your own intuition. If you need a tarot reading, you can private message me on here, on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. I'm happy to work with you.

Now that we have that out of the way, our tarot deck this week is one of my absolute favorite decks. It's The Vanessa Tarot by Lynyrd Narciso. Note: I do not receive any compensation by featuring these decks.

Now, on to our Big Reveal!

Card 1: The Five of Swords

Most tarot readers are going to tell you that this card is about conflict, tension, power struggles, and the consequences of recklessness. This particular card from the deck represents something else, in my opinion. You see a woman and a man in this picture. The woman has a satisfied look on her face, while the man looks down-trodden. Note that it's night-time, and there's a full moon. The two are parting ways, with their backs to one another.

If you've studied tarot, you know that swords represent all things associated with air- thoughts, intellect, intuition, unseen power, etc. The moon is generally associated with women; particularly witches and wild women.

This card is representative of a woman taking back her power, her thoughts, her life. She's walking away from a situation in which she felt powerless, and is feeling the freedom and empowerment that comes with taking control of her life.

How does this card help you in your current situation? Why do you think you chose this today? What can you learn from this?

Card 2: The Star

This card is generally considered the card of hope and inspiration, and is associated with the sign of Aquarius. The Star card rewards those who are generous at this moment in their lives. Inspiration to create is the manifestation of hope that is the core energy released by The Star card. When we have hope, we have something to live for, somewhere to move towards, someone to love – even if it is ourselves.

In the present position, the Star speaks to new ideas, being on the verge of making big plans, feeling that one's future is bright, and that the present is a time of contentment mixed with excitement. There is a sense of connection with all that is, and that something great is about to happen.

How does this card help you in your current situation? Why do you think you chose this today? What can you learn from this?

As always, we have the best discussions on the Wildly, Witch Facebook page. Come, join in on the discussion, and let me know how I can best support you.
