Tarot Tuesday's Big Reveal for January 28, 2020

Greetings! By now, you should have chosen your card on the Wildly, Witch Facebook page. If you haven't done so, please go do that now. If you are new to all of this, Welcome!!

This is an exercise in honing your own intuition. If you need a tarot reading, you can private message me on here, on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram. I'm happy to work with you.

Now that we have that out of the way, our tarot deck this week is  The Mary El Tarot by Marie WhiteNote: I do not receive any compensation by featuring these decks.

Now, on to our Big Reveal!

Card 1: The Knight of Swords

Knights are the Tarot’s way to deliver something. Swords represent ideas, words, and thoughts. When the Knight delivers his words to you, the idea behind what is being said becomes apparent, quite rapidly.

In general, the Knight of Swords is a swift change card. It can be something you've been waiting for, but weren't quite ready to receive, or it could be your wake-up call.

This is a card of being assertive, direct, honest, quick-witted, and intellectual (think air signs: Aquarius, Gemini, Libra). It signifies being dashing, daring, brave, courageous or rebellious. Given that the sun is currently in Aquarius, it could be a message that now is the time to put those ideas into action.

For those who've been avoiding facing realities, your wake-up call is here. This knight pulls no punches, and that confrontation you've been avoiding is going to happen. Even if it's one you've needed to have with yourself. There is no more hiding, avoiding, or putting off until tomorrow.  As the adage goes, "action cures fear."

Card 2: The 9 of Wands

Wands represent our creativity. The walking staff is a visual metaphor for the thing we carry with us that makes our journey through life easier. Nines in Tarot usually reflect elements of isolation, anticipation, and heightened awareness.

The Nine of Wands comes as a sign that, even in the face of adversity, you stand tall and strong. You may be on the edge of exhaustion, but you are resilient, persistent, and ready to do what it takes to get to the finish line. Even if you want to give up, this is your final challenge before you reach your goal, so don’t let go of your hopes and dreams when you are so close to making them a reality. Stand firm in the face of your challenges, and you will achieve your goal.

The Nine of Wands invites you to find your cheerleaders and personal bodyguards, those who will protect you from the ongoing challenges and cheer you on to the finish line. Even if others oppose you, you have many more people who support your cause. Let them help you. While they are, take a breath, then...

Establish your boundaries and fiercely protect those lines. If you allowed others to stand in your way or deplete your energy, it is likely that you have not asserted yourself effectively with those people to protect yourself. Get clear on what you need in this situation to successfully reach your goals, and then communicate those needs to others.

Take ten minutes for yourself right now to reflect on this exercise:

How accurate were you?

Why do you think you chose this particular card today?

What message did you glean from it?

How is this exercise helping you to hone your intuition?

Taking what you've learned today, how will you apply this to your craft?

Is there anything I can do to assist you on your path?

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to participate in this exercise. Please, feel free to share your thoughts here, or on the Wildly, Witch Facebook Page.

Quick note: In springtime, we'll be starting a group for those who want to go deeper in their studies. More to come.
